Anadolu Efes beat Lokomotiv Kuban 88–82 on Sept. 20 to win the VTB United League Super Cup, according to the VTB United League. Mike James scored 27 points in the final and was named tournament MVP after averaging 19.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists across three games. Efes became the first foreign club to win the competition.
