The Atlanta Dream beat the New York Liberty 92-82 in Game 1 of the WNBA semifinals on Oct. 4. Jordin Canada scored 25 points and added five steals, while Atlanta turned 21 New York turnovers into 32 points. The Dream seized control with a 32-15 third quarter and earned their first semifinal victory since 2018. Game 2 is scheduled for Oct. 7 in Atlanta, with the best-of-five series continuing at State Farm Arena. Allisha Gray left with a hand injury, but her status for Game 2 was not yet known.
