Gibson, a Los Angeles trial lawyer and longtime Clippers season-ticket holder, will represent the franchise in NBA governance while Ballmer serves a one-year suspension stemming from the league’s salary-cap investigation. The appointment gives Los Angeles an approved representative nearly three weeks after the NBA fined the Clippers $30 million and took five first-round picks from 2029 through 2033; Ballmer has since accepted those sanctions, as Basketball Daily previously reported.
