D’Angelo Russell Joins Shanghai Sharks

D’Angelo Russell has signed with the Shanghai Sharks, according to 15min, ending his 11-season NBA run. The Memphis Grizzlies waived Russell on Sept. 25, after he played 655 NBA games for five teams, including the Dallas Mavericks last season. He averaged 10.2 points, 4.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 19 minutes per game in Dallas. Shanghai enters the move as the reigning CBA champion, giving the 30-year-old guard a prominent opportunity in his first season outside the United States. Contract terms and Russell’s debut date have not been announced.
