FIBA Europe Cup Qualifiers Begin Today
FIBA says 48 clubs will fill the regular-season field after Sept. 30 return legs.

The FIBA Europe Cup qualifying round opens Wednesday, beginning the 2026-27 competition’s route to a 48-team regular season. FIBA says the return legs are scheduled for Sept. 30, when the full field will be confirmed, and the regular season will begin Oct. 6. The tournament is entering its 12th edition, with 24 clubs already entered directly and additional teams coming through qualifying routes. The format features eight groups of six, with the top two in each group advancing to the Second Round. The qualifying winners are still unknown.
