FIBA Intercontinental Cup Begins in Beijing
FIBA confirms six teams will compete from Sept. 22–27, with the championship game on Sept. 27.

The 2026 FIBA Intercontinental Cup tips off Tuesday in Beijing, with six teams split into two groups and the top four advancing to the semifinals. According to FIBA Basketball, the final is scheduled for Sept. 27, while Rytas Vilnius, Shanghai Sharks and RSSB Tigers form Group A; Boca Juniors, Beijing Royal Fighters and NBA G League United make up Group B. Europe has won 24 editions, including the last two through Unicaja. The champion remains undecided.
