FIBA Intercontinental Cup Tips Off in Beijing

The 2026 FIBA Intercontinental Cup begins Tuesday in Beijing, bringing together six teams across two groups: Rytas Vilnius, RSSB Tigers, Shanghai Sharks, Beijing Royal Fighters, Boca Juniors and NBA G League United. The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals, with the championship game scheduled for September 27, according to FIBA. The tournament is moving to Beijing after three editions in Singapore, while European clubs have won 24 of the event’s titles since 1966. The semifinalists and eventual champion remain unknown.
