Henri Veesaar Injury Update: Torn ACL

Atlanta Hawks rookie Henri Veesaar has a torn right ACL and is expected to miss the 2026-27 season, the team announced Monday, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The injury occurred during a Sept. 15 workout, an MRI confirmed it, and surgery is planned. Atlanta acquired the 22-year-old, 7-foot center at No. 52 after trading up from No. 57; he averaged 17 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks at North Carolina last season. A more specific recovery timeline has not been announced.
