Victor Wembanyama says the San Antonio Spurs are using their NBA Finals defeat by New York as motivation for the new season. At the team’s Sept. 28 media day, Wembanyama said the loss still brings difficult emotions, but the Spurs are facing them together after August workouts in Paris and his offseason rugby training. He averaged 26 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.6 blocks in the five-game Finals loss, including a series in which San Antonio blew double-digit leads in every defeat, according to the Associated Press.
